My name is Paula, and I was born and raised in Portugal. At the age of 20, I moved to the United States with my infant son, guided by the belief that a meaningful life is built through intention, resilience, and care. Today, my roots span continents, and I share my life here with my husband, Marc, while remaining deeply connected to my heritage.

Creativity has always been part of my story. From an early age, I was drawn to sewing, crocheting, and working with my hands. Although my professional path took me in other directions for many years, the desire to create never truly left me — it simply waited for the right moment.

That moment came when I discovered cork fabric — a remarkable, sustainable material native to Portugal. Its natural beauty, durability, and environmental integrity immediately resonated with me. What began as exploration quickly evolved into a passion.

Today, I design and handcraft handbags, wallets, and accessories using cork and other thoughtfully selected materials. Every piece is created with careful attention to detail, functionality, and understated elegance. My designs are meant to be timeless — refined enough to elevate the everyday, yet practical enough to be lived with and loved.

PMAC is more than a brand. It is the intersection of heritage, craftsmanship, and sustainability — and the creative calling I’ve finally found. Each piece reflects not only how it is made, but why it is made.
